Conclave offers a valuable opportunity for the alumni and collegiate leaders of Acacia to interact and share the many facets of our special brotherhood. It is also the perfect opportunity for our collegians to witness firsthand the true meaning of “lifetime commitment.” The theme for this year’s Conclave — Raising the Stakes — is a reminder of our dedication to achieving excellence. The goal of all Acacians is not just to have Acacia survive, but to expand its role through a renewed commitment to the mission and ideals of Acacia. Accordingly, we encourage 100 percent participation from actives, and stress the importance of the chapters’ honored alumni to also attend. As we honor the past, and salute those who have provided leadership at all levels as we reach our 104th year, we must make plans for the future. We must recommit ourselves to the obligation we took at our initiation. The future of Acacia rests with its alumni and undergraduates. As we celebrate the successes of the past biennium, we invite you to attend a 2008 Conclave that will give you an exciting vision for our future.

ATTENDANCE & REGISTRATION Q: Who should attend Conclave?
A: All Acacians — actives, pledges and alumni — are welcome. Colony members are encouraged to attend all sessions of the Conclave, as well. Each chapter is encouraged to send as many members as possible in order to share in the Conclave resources made available. All chapters should have representation at the Conclave. It is suggested that your voting delegates be your current Venerable Dean and Chapter Advisor. Credentials will be sent to all chapters prior to the end of the academic year. To register online, click here.
Q: What is the cost to register?
A: Registration is $110.00/person, payable by cash, check or credit card (Visa/MC). Each chapter has already been invoiced for $250.00, which will cover two delegates. Registration includes admission to all sessions of the Conclave, the Acacia Fraternity Foundation Leadership Academy, all resource materials, the Awards Luncheon, the President’s Reception, the Conclave Banquet & Awards Presentation, and the 2008 Conclave favor.
Q: How do I pre-register for Conclave?

A: Yes. Onsite registration will take place on Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 7 at The Brown Hotel.
Q. Is there anything else I should know about attending Conclave?
A. Registration materials have already been sent to each chapter and colony. The return of the Chapter and Advisor Credential forms will properly certify each chapter’s official voting delegates. In addition, chapters are asked to return to Headquarters the list of brothers who plan to attend the Conclave. Each delegate must wear his official badge obtained at registration for admission to all Conclave events and programs.

2008 ACACIA LEADERSHIP ACADEMY Q: What can you tell me about this year's ALA?
A: The 2008 Acacia Leadership Academy will be the most ambitious effort to date in providing actives and alumni with training in leadership and fraternity management. Each attendee will be given the opportunity to revitalize and enhance his leadership skills, while benefiting from the expertise of distinguished and proven facilitators from all aspects of fraternity management — both from within Acacia’s ranks and from the Interfraternity world. This year’s ALA is guaranteed to provide an educational and entertaining adventure for all attendees. As the Greek movement continues to evolve, many issues of concern will affect our future. Membership recruitment, risk management, membership education and alumni involvement are a few of the programming items that will be covered this year. As we celebrate our 55th Biennial Conclave, Acacians are given the opportunity to redefine the fraternity experience as we chart our path during our next 100 years. As each brother makes his contribution to the 2008 ALA, he invests something of himself in Acacia’s forward movement. Today’s agenda is the fraternity of tomorrow.
