Giving Back to Acacia • Giving to Acacia Programs • Giving to Acacia Chapters

The Foundation has established a general-purpose account for each Acacia chapter and colony. Contributions to your Foundation account are tax-deductible and can be used to support the some of the following activities: Chapters scholarships and “Dollars for Scholars” programs, Leadership and other chapter achievement programs and the funding for local educational seminars.

Detailed statements are maintained by the Acacia’s Indianapolis office of all contribution received, investment earnings and disbursements made from each chapter account. A copy of each chapter’s account statement is mailed at least once a year to the chapter Venerable Dean, chapter advisor and president of the house corporation or alumni board. The corporation board authorizes the spending of chapter funds.

A donor can split his gift in half by giving 50% to a restricted chapter account and by giving the other 50% to the Acacia Fraternity Foundation in support of other International Programs. Larger gifts can be spread over a 3 to 5 year period of time.
