More than just pledge education, the Cornerstones Program represents a transformational shift in how the chapter operates. Continuing beyond initiation, Acacia brothers will strive to meet clear expectations contained in the four levels of Cornerstones programming.

Each level grows progressively more challenging in the areas of academic, social, and personal growth. In short, it sets the expectation that every undergraduate brother will commit himself to a path of continual personal growth.

An effort with such an ambitious goal demands a sophisticated, well-conceived strategic approach only possible through a robust combination of national and local resources. During its first century, Acacia Fraternity shaped the lives of over 47,000 men. Its commitment to developing leaders of strong values and character has never wavered.

Undeniably, Acacia continues to make a difference in the world. Alumni from all walks of life, including a United States President; a Nobel Prize winning inventor and engineer; and successful executives of prominent international corporations have exemplified our motto of “Human Service” and inspired others to follow them.

Proven, existing leadership programs and new leadership initiatives are in need of alumni support. All will bolster Acacia’s standing within the Greek world and strengthen individual members and chapters.

Campus life has changed dramatically over the years, especially so in just the past decade. Fraternities are no longer the only avenue for young men to find leadership experience, social interaction and alumni networking.

This competition for talent exists also within the fraternity world and Acacia Fraternity is competing against larger, more financially endowed national fraternities at every campus. To make Acacia more prominent and position it to compete more effectively, Acacia Fraternity needs to increase the International Headquarters staff and create greater centralized resources benefiting all chapters.

Drawing from the wisdom and guidance of Pythagoras, Acacia Fraternity has prided itself in fostering and encouraging academic achievement amongst its members. With the continued rise in tuition costs, today’s students are facing greater economic hurdles to obtaining knowledge.

The current endowment provides for $50,000 in scholarship awards each year – which benefited 78 men last year. Moving forward, we need to significantly increase these scholarship awards through a combination of larger national scholarship endowments and a collection of chapter directed scholarship funds.
