Recruitment Central • Values-based Membership

Membership in Acacia Fraternity is based on three core values: Virtue, Morality & Truth. As Acacians living these values everyday, we also seek the same characteristics in potential new members. This may include service within the community, excellence in academics, and leadership in athletics or the arts.

If your chapter’s recruitment strategy is to throw several big parties and “see who shows up”, then recruit the men that come to the party, it should be no surprise that those same members are not very enthusiastic about some of the more challenging aspects of fraternity life – like values-based decision-making, treating the Ritual of Acacia with proper respect, or participating in the Cornerstones program.
